Historical background
A historic tenement in the heart of Kraków

The tenement at 1 Wenecja Street was built in 1911 in the Modernist style, to a design by architect Kazimierz Hroboni, for the painter Piotr Stachiewicz. Because of its high architectural, artistic and urban value, it was entered in the register of monuments under number A-939.
The building is a valuable example of Kraków's historic architecture within the so-called second ring of the city. Over the years it was home and workplace to outstanding figures of the art world, including Władysław Żeleński, Antoni Procajłowicz and Jan Świerczyński.
In 2025 a comprehensive conservation renovation was completed, carried out with respect for the historic fabric and the original form of the monument. The works restored the building's former aesthetic and functional qualities while adapting it to modern living standards.
The result is an exceptional, intimate space of 13 apartments whose residents can enjoy views of the most charming corners of the Old Town, Wawel Castle and Kościuszko Mound.
